Let The Kids Have Their Candy

On Halloween weekend, you'll have your choice of some of the coolest events in a long time.

The party we're most excited about is the first-ever Chosen Few Sexy Halloween, from the same team behind the hottest summer house music picnic.

If you appreciate deep, underground dance music and a mature sexy crowd, this is your spot. Deejays Wayne Williams, Andre Hatchett, Jesse Saunders, Alan King, Terry Hunter and Craig Loftus spin. There's a "sexy" costume contest for female guests. 9pm-4am Oct. 29 at Loft 74 (7445 S. South Chicago Ave.).

More tricks and treats to get into this weekend:

English: A traditional English Halloween celebration takes place in the form of the Saints & Sinners party. Dress the part for a chance to win big prizes. Deejays spin mashups. 9pm-2am Oct. 29; 9pm-3am Oct. 30. $25-$30.

Faith & Whiskey: This is the second year they've done the Walk Of Shame Halloween Party, where guests show up in the costumes they wore the night before. The $35 party package includes a brunch buffet from Sarks in the Park, Bloody Mary bar, Mimosa station, costume contest and $3 beer and $4 drink specials. Of course there's a costume contest where winners get $50 cash prizes. 11am-4pm Oct. 31. $30 for those wearing a costume or pajamas.

Grami: Hell, I LOVE "Boardwalk Empire," HBO's epic drama about the Prohibition era in Atlantic City. So hopefully this new bar gives it justice with its Roarin' Twenties-themed bash. Show up as a flapper, gangster or character from "The Great Gatsby." $45 includes food and open bar. 10pm-3am Oct. 30.

Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club: A "Rocky Horror Picture Show"-themed brunch occurs at the quirky Lakeview resto. Diva Madame X performs songs from the classic film, while it is shown on seven large screens. Revelers can add bottomless mimosas or Bloody martinis for an extra $10 to their a la carte brunch (or as a two-course, prix-fixe with bottomless mimosas or bloody marys for $25). There's also a brunch meatloaf special of lamb and beef, spicy sriracha ketchup, roasted purple fingerling potatoes and broccoli tops for $14. 11am-3pm Oct. 31.

LaSalle Power Co.: Dress up as your favorite hero or villain (Tea Partier?!) and dance to live music and deejays on three levels. Prizes for best costumes. 10pm-2am Oct. 29; 10pm-3am Oct. 30. $25-$30.

Lula Cafe: The Logan Square hot spot "dresses up" as Kuma's Corner to become "Luma's Corner." Instead of offering burgers named after heavy metal bands, they decided to go Indie. Peep the menu right here. Oct. 30-31.

Studio 54 Halloween Yacht Party: Board the Anita Dee and travel back to 1970s glamour when there were no rules. Slinky sexy dresses, big hair and GLITTER will get you a long way. The $150 ticket gets you an open bar, full catered dinner, deejays spinning disco and an entertaining costume contest for prizes. Boat boards at 7:30pm Oct. 30. Party until midnight. Oh, and there's a secret after party at another location for ticketholders. Get tickets here.

Sunda: Before you hit your Halloween house parties, head here for the second-annual Dim Sum in the Dark. The dining room will be darkened and candlelit, and share-able dishes rolled around include crab pot stickers, five-spice chicken wings, shrimp-stuffed eggplant, Vietnamese spring rolls and shrimp-filled dumplings. All are $8.88. The regular menu will also be offered. Oct. 30-31.
