GrubStreet lists all the Chicago-area finalists for the annual James Beard Foundation Awards, including Schwa's Michael Carlson, avec's Koren Grieveson and Hot Chocolate's Mindy Segal.

Also, as we speculated last week, Rick Bayless is up for the TV Food Personality category.
