'Andersonville Dinner Crawl' Returns!

Photobucket

The Taste of Andersonville Dinner Crawl returns, offering foodies a chance to chow down at a number of area restaurants at one time.

You get to choose from three routes: SALT, PEPPER or THE WHOLE ENCHILADA when the event takes place 6-9pm August 17 during the weekly Andersonville Farmer's Market.

The SALT route—which is vegetarian friendly by the way—will highlight bites from the likes of Hamburger Mary's (mini burgers or mini black bean burgers), Lady Gregory's (mac 'n' cheese; Deviled eggs) and M. Henry (red roast pork sliders; balsamic glazed vegetables and goat cheese sliders; green leaf and watercress salad with rice wine vinaigrette).

PEPPER features food from Andies (pomegranate chicken), Big Jones (Slagel Family Farm burger with house-made slab bacon and garlic aioli, with homemade potato crisps) and Vincent (pork rillettes with currants and brown bread).

Tickets for the SALT and PEPPER routes are $25 ($30 day of); THE WHOLE ENCHILADA is $40 ($50 at door). They can be picked up the day of the event at the Swedish American Museum (5211 N. Clark St.) starting at 4pm.
