She's set to be inducted into the Chicago Culinary Museum and Chef's Hall of Fame on Nov. 16, and now Priscila Satkoff has been given her very own special day.

The chef/owner of Old Town's iconic Salpicon! has been granted Chef Priscila Satkoff Day by Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Sept. 29.

The native of Colonia San Angel, Mexico City opened Salpicon! in 1995, and has since garnered many accolades, including "Chef to Watch," "Rising Star Chef" and an appearance on Food Network's "Melting Pot." Her contemporary-style Mexican brunch is also a big favorite for its heaping portions of Huevos Rancheros (Sunny-side eggs), Arrachera con Huevos (steak and eggs) and Chilaquiles Verdes.

Satkoff is the second female and second Mexican-focused chef to be inducted in the Chefs Hall of Fame. The gala, which happens at JW Marriott, features a cocktail reception, dinner prepared by culinary students and awards ceremony.

This is awesome as Satkoff, who's the sixth inductee, will join such esteemed colleagues as Charlie Trotter (Charlie Trotter's), Jimmy Bannos (Heaven on Seven, The Purple Pig), Rick Bayless (Frontera Grill, Topolobampo, Xoco), Carrie Nahabedian (Naha) and Art Smith (Table Fifty-Two) in the Hall of Fame. The $160 ticket may be purchased here.
